Victoria Ward
The Wiveliscombe Artist Collective
Description: Victoria lives and works in Minehead and is exhibiting once again at the 10 Parishes Festival with the Wiveliscombe Art Collective. Her recent work, mostly during lockdown, has developed into stylised landscape painting using swirling, free flowing brushstrokes in Acrylic on Canvas. She continues to add to the growing collection of Bird paintings in Ink and Watercolour. Some are densely patterned and colourful, others are more representative, and there are some that are executed using the minimal Chinese brush painting technique. The 10 Parishes Maps return, with some additional local locations. They are inspired by the 16th Century navigational maps of Ottoman Admiral Piri Reis. Have a look at Victoria’s website for the full range, and for up-to-date information http://victoriawardart.co.uk
