Kay Waite
My work is both Porcelain and Bone China and concentrates on exploiting the translucent qualities both these materials possess. My current work is very much inspired by the Exmoor skies, rivers and landscape where live and work. The more sculptural work is influenced by nests found in nature which when lit show the fragile qualities of these structures. Textiles feature in these sculptures to express how we as human beings nurture and swaddle our young.
